HOW DO I KNOW IF THIS IS FOR ME?

WHAT COUNSELING SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?

I offer PTSD/ Trauma counseling, Anxiety Counseling and Depression Counseling.

WHAT TECHNIQUES DO YOUUSE IN THERAPY SESSIONS?
HOW LONG DO COUNSELING SESSIONS TYPICALLY LAST?

Counseling sessions are 45 minutes. Research has shown that for some this is the perfect amount of time for therapy. During this time frame we will work on treatment goals and make progress. You get a good balance of checking in about the week, while working on bigger picture issues.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE FIRST COUNSELING SESSION?

During the first 1-3 sessions there is time where we are getting to know each other and establish the goals that you want to achieve through therapy. The following sessions we will work on putting together a “therapy tool box” full of resources, coping skills and helpful techniques to help you with your current stressors. As we continue to process we will work together to address the root of the current stressors that brought you into therapy.

WHAT IS YOUR AVAILABILITY?

We currently provide services from Monday-Friday from 10 am to 5 pm.

I have limited availability for evening appointments.

WHERE DO SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?

All sessions are held via Teletherapy through a secure HIPPA compliant platform.

HOW LONG WILL I NEED TO COME TO COUNSELING?

That really depends on you and the progress you are making with your treatment goals. Typically clients receive counseling for about 12 weeks before we begin the termination process.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL OUR APPOINTMENT OR I GET SICK?

Still Waters Therapeutic Services maintains a 24-hour cancellation/rescheduling fee policy. You will be responsible for the entire session fee if cancellation/rescheduling occurs with less than 24 hours of your appointment time.

HOW LONG DOES THERAPY TAKE?

There are a lot of factors that contribute to the length of counseling, so it is difficult to predict until we begin working together. Typically, clients commit to counseling for 6 months and progress is measured monthly.

HOW OFTEN DO WE MEET?

I have found that meeting weekly improves clients’ progress toward their goals. For that reason, I meet with clients weekly. We will establish a set time to meet each week and that will be our recurring weekly appointment.

DO YOU GIVE HOMEWORK?

Yes, especially in the beginning. I will suggest things for you do to at home that will support the work we do in our therapy sessions. I have found that clients make significantly faster progress when they do the homework. Much of the homework is to support the integration of the deep work we do in session.

WHO DO YOU WORK WITH?

I provide services to individuals ranging from age 7- 65.

WHAT IF COUNSELING ISN'T WORKING?

There are times, for whatever reason, counseling is just not working. If this happens we will work together to find an appropriate referral source to help better resolve your concerns.

Payment Questions

WHEN IS PAYMENT DUE?

Payment is due at the time of service. Still Waters Therapeutic Services requires a credit card to be on file. We take major credit cards, debit cards, FSA and HSA cards.

HOW MUCH DO SESSIONS COST?

Psychosocial (Intake) assessments are provided at the rate of $250.00/60 min session.

Individual sessions are provided at the rate of $200.00/ 45 min session.

Family/ couples sessions are provided at the rate of $255/ 50 min session.

ARE SESSIONS COVERED BY MY INSURANCE?

Still Waters Therapeutic Services is mainly an out-of-network insurance provider. However, limited space is available for clients with Medicaid insurance.

HOW DO I SEEK REIMBURSEMENT FROM MY INSURANCE COMPANY?

Still Waters Therapeutic Services will provide you with information (a superbill) that can be submitted to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement at the beginning of each month.
